Remember Your Wedding Day - Slowing Down

The idea behind Coulombe Perfume is to remember momentous times in your life. With The Wedding Perfume, I hope your memories come flooding back every time you inhale the scent.
Between getting ready, the excitement of walking down the aisle, the vows, dinner, toasts, dancing… it’s a lot to take in. Every element is vying for your attention, and it's important to create a little space for slowing down and processing it all.
My husband and I had our dear friend officiate, and while he read a John Lennon quote, we held hands and looked at all the smiling faces staring back at us. It was a moment of peace and I truly remember it.
Every moment we live, we hope to fully embrace and enjoy. And at times, it’s an incredible thing to look back and reminisce about the moments that brought so much joy - especially so when remembering your wedding day.
Here are three ways to slow down and lock in memories on your wedding day:
  1. Sneak away before the ceremony to see your love. It’ll be the quietest time of the whole day before everything starts. Hug, kiss, shake off some nerves and savor the moment together.
  2. Pause during the ceremony. Read a poem, play a song, and just take a minute to notice every single person that is giving you love.
  3. Before the reception, go for a walk with your new spouse. It’ll give you time to breathe, reminisce about the beautiful ceremony and get excited about the party!

It truly goes by in the blink of an eye. Try to slow down a couple times throughout it all… you’ll remember those moments for years to come.
